Project YRUHRN was started with one idea in September of 2006. It all started with a HIT posted on Amazon's mTurk offering a penny for your answer to 'Why are You Here - Right Now?'. From that HIT, over 500 answers were given in a weeks time.

We have taken those answers, and compiled them in a book that will speak to a part of everyone.

We will see if it is possible, through crowdsourcing and the power of work-at-home people, if a book can be written and published in just 30 days from idea to publishing.

We will also be donating 1/3 of all profits from the project to the children affected by Katrina. More information and details to come soon.

The Ishidos are a group of work at home mothers that have never met each other before, but through some seredipitous twist of fate, were brought together to publish this book.

Wow, we have made some serious progress in the last week! The ripples are spreading all over the world, people are talking and the inerest in the project is growing.

Raquel and Renea are almost finished with the layout of the content.  The answers have been gone through, put in some kind of random order, and ready to be put on the pages.

It's amazing the answers we've received, the diversity and depth of some of them are mind boggling.  

We should have a better draft ebook soon, so look for the update in your inbox if you have signed up for the website or already received the very rough draft of all the answers.

The narratives are coming along, and help set the tone and the pace of the book.  I personally cant wait to see how this all comes together.  

Tomorrow will be another busy day, but I think I can speak for everyone, when I say that is has been an amazing journey...and I'll actually be sad when it is done.  Although there will be more projects to come and to keep us busy.

The book was released one month ago. We've had some very postive feedback from it, and we all get so excited to hear from our readers - whether thru blogs or direct emails. It's great to see so many people, that don't even know each other, to come together to work on this project - or to enjoy the book together!
